This issue is when connecting to a Hyper-V session the virtual computer logs in and then automatically logs you out with a message that says:

“The connection was lost because another user connected to the virtual machine. Try to connect again. If the problem persists, contact your system administrator.”

There are two ways to fix the Hyper-V error

Fix 1

Add a password to the virtual machine. This will allow the virtualised computer to be connected to then you can type in the password for the user and it will not kick you off.

Fix 2

Turn off Enhanced Session Mode

To do this open the Hyper-V Manager and select settings in the right hand pane

hyperv settings

Then select Enhanced Session Mode Policy in the left hand pane and untick the box that says Allow enhanced session mode and hit OK button

allow enhanced connection

Cannot “Disconnect from organization” when joined to Azure AD on Windows 10

This can happen when your computer is joined to Azure AD and you wish to leave your company or office 365 account.

For some reason when joining Azure AD it deletes the local administrator account and you will get the error when you click the “Disconnect from organization” button:

The account info didn’t work. Make sure you’re entering info for a local administrator account and try again.

To fix this issue you will need to create a new local administrator account to do that:

  • Right click on the start menu and select Computer Management
  • Select Local Users and Groups
  • Select Users
  • Right click in the pane and select add new
  • Give the user a name and password
  • Click the Create button

computer management

Now that is done you will be able to type in the local user account credentials in the section that you disjoin the computer from Azure AD.
